Removal Procedure

NOTE: Refer to POWER STEERING HOSE DISCONNECTED NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT in Engine Controls 4.3L.
  2. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering pump.

  4. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering cooler.
  5. Remove the power steering cooler hose from the vehicle.
