Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM  .
  2. Remove the radiator inlet hose clamp from the water outlet housing.

  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose.
  4. Remove the water outlet housing mounting bolts.
  5. Remove the water outlet housing from the engine.
  6. Remove thermostat and O-ring seal.
  7. Clean all of the parts.
  8. Clean all of the sealing surfaces.
