Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the crankshaft pulley and hub. Refer to CRANKSHAFT BALANCER AND HUB REPLACEMENT  .
  2. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to DRIVE BELT TENSIONER REPLACEMENT  .
  3. Remove the engine front cover bolts.

  4. Remove the engine front cover and gasket.

    Important:  Inspect the engine front cover for warping or damage. Replace if needed.

  5. Clean all sealing surfaces.
