Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection

  1. Clean the oil pan mating surface.
  2. Clean the oil pan. Remove all sludge and oil deposits.
  3. Inspect the threads for the engine oil drain plug.
  4. Inspect the oil pan for dents or distortion.
  5. Repair or replace the oil pan if necessary.
