Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
  2. Remove the transfer case shield. Refer to TRANSFER CASE SHIELD REPLACEMENT  .

  3. Remove the transfer case brace, if equipped.
  4. Remove the vacuum line for the transfer case vacuum switch.
  5. Remove the transfer case vacuum switch.
