Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install the seat belt retractor to the vehicle.
Install the bolt (1) that retains the rear retractor to the body.
Tighten

Tighten the retractor bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

Install the quarter trim panel to the vehicle.
Install the bolts to the cargo tie-down locations.
Tighten

Tighten the loop bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
Install the lower seat belt anchor bolt.
Tighten

Tighten anchor bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
Install the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS) .

Install the pillar trim to the vehicle.
Install the bolt that secures the seat belt guide loop.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

Close the cover to the seat belt guide loop.

Install the rear No. 2 seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT -- REAR NO. 2 (BUICK) .
