Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the liftgate latch to the liftgate.
  2. Install the bolts to the liftgate latch.

    Tighten the liftgate latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the liftgate latch.
  4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  5. Close the liftgate.
