Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Align the endgate hinge to the body rear end panel.
  2. Install the endgate nuts to the endgate hinge.

    Tighten the endgate nuts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  3. Align the endgate to the endgate hinges, with an assistant.

  4. Install the endgate hinge to endgate bolts.

    Tighten the endgate bolts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  5. Connect the electrical harness to the endgate.
  6. Close the endgate.
  7. Close the liftgate.
