Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the power seat switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped.
  2. Align the center screw mounting point to the seat frame.
  3. Install the front seat cushion trim panel to the front seat.

  4. Install the center screw to the front seat cushion trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front seat cushion trim panel center screw to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  5. Place the front bucket seat to the most forward position.
  6. Install the front screw to the front seat cushion trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front seat cushion trim panel front screw to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  7. Place the front bucket seat to the most rearward position.
  8. Install the rear screw to the front seat cushion trim panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front seat cushion trim panel rear screw to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

    Important:  The lumbar control knob splines must be properly aligned for proper fit.

  9. Install the front seat lumbar control knob, pressing into place until fully seated.

  10. Install the front seat back recliner handle. Refer to SEAT BACK RECLINER HANDLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
