Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Perform the following steps in order to install the knee bolster to the instrument panel:
    1. Align the clips with the slots in the instrument panel.
    2. Push in, in order to secure the knee bolster.
  2. Install the bolts to the bottom of the knee bolster.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts/screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  3. Install the IP insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  and CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT  .
