Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door to the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.
  2. Lightly squeeze the edges of the door handle and the latch cover to release the retaining tabs. Remove the cover from the inside of the I/P compartment door.

  3. Remove the retaining clip which secures the latch to the I/P compartment door.
  4. Begin to lift the door latch away from the door, slide the latch to the right, then disconnect the latch rod from the door handle.
  5. Remove the door latch.
  6. Using a flat-bladed tool, remove the retainer from the I/P compartment door handle.
  7. Remove the door handle.
