Transaxle Brace (4T65-E): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the right front tire and wheel.
  2. NOTE: Carefully guide the right drive axle output shaft past the lip seal. Do not allow the shaft splines to contact any portion of the lip seal surface.
  3. Remove the right drive axle from the vehicle. Remove the transaxle brace bolts. See Figure . Remove the case extension bolts that attach the transaxle brace. Remove the transaxle brace.
