Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the transaxle mount bracket.
  2. Install the transaxle mount bracket bolts.

    Tighten 

    Start with the forward lower bolt and work clockwise to tighten the transaxle mount bracket bolts to 95 N.m (70 lb ft).

  3. Remove the utility stand.

  4. Install the transaxle mount upper nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the transaxle mount upper nuts to 47 N.m (35 lb ft).

  5. Install the left engine splash shield. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT -- ENGINE .
  6. Install the left front tire and wheel.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
