Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (AZTEK) or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (RENDEZVOUS) .
  3. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) electrical connectors (1, 2, 3).

  4. Disconnect the console accessory wiring junction block electrical connectors (1, 2).

  5. Release the console accessory wiring junction block retainers (1).
  6. Remove the console accessory wiring junction block (2) out of the console accessory wiring junction block bracket.
  7. Remove the BCM. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
