Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right engine strut mount. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  .
  2. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe. Refer to THERMOSTAT BYPASS PIPES REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the PCV valve from valve rocker arm cover.
  4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
  5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover and gasket.
  6. Clean the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to VALVE ROCKER ARM COVER CLEANING AND INSPECTION  in the Engine Unit Repair Manual.
  7. Clean the valve rocker arm cover sealing surfaces.
