Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the right engine mount strut bracket over the pin locator.
  2. Install the vertical engine mount strut bracket bolt through the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Raise and support the vehicle.

  4. Install the engine mount strut bracket lower bolt through the right engine mount strut bracket into the cylinder block.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the air conditioning compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT .
  6. Install the lower radiator baffle. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE ASSEMBLIES AND DEFLECTORS .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the engine oil cooler line bracket bolt, if equipped. Refer to OIL COOLER INLET LINE REPLACEMENT  .

  9. Install the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  .
