Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the camshaft rear bearing hole plug with sealer. Use sealer GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent.
  2. Use an impact wrench socket and a hammer in order to install the camshaft rear bearing hole plug.

  3. Ensure that the camshaft rear bearing plug is installed to specifications.
  4. Install the engine flywheel. Refer to ENGINE FLYWHEEL REPLACEMENT  .
