Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install a new O-ring seal on the inlet pipe.
  2. Install the inlet pipe to the thermostat housing.
  3. Install the heater inlet pipe nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical harness to the inlet pipe bracket.

  5. Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the inlet heater pipe (2).
  6. Install the thermostat bypass pipe. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
  7. Install the air cleaner intake duct.
  8. Fill the coolant. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
