Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the right I/P insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- RIGHT .
  2. Remove the left I/P insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- LEFT .
  3. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) .
  4. Remove the center floor air outlet. Refer to AIR OUTLET REPLACEMENT - CENTER FLOOR  .
  5. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.

  6. Remove the heater outlet duct.
  7. Disconnect the I/P harness to heater core cover tie strap.
  8. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
  9. Remove the heater core cover.
