Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open the rear door.
  2. Pull the upper edge of the rear door body side molding out, to release the retainers.
  3. A thin, plastic flat-bladed tool may be used between the door and the molding to help release the retainers.

    Remove the rear door body side molding from the door.

  4. Drill a small hole into the center of the center retainer pins of the lower support retainer.

  5. Install a small screw into the hole in the center retainer pin.
  6. Remove the center retainer pin using small pliers and pulling out the center retainer pin.

  7. Remove the rear door body side molding lower support from the door.
