Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear quarter lower trim in order to gain access to the anchor plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- REAR QUARTER LOWER (AZTEK) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- REAR QUARTER LOWER (RENDEZVOUS) .
  2. Mark the position of the rear door lock striker with a grease pencil.
  3. Remove the screws from the lock striker.
  4. Remove the lock striker and the shims.
  5. Remove the anchor plate.
