Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information  .
  2. Disconnect the electronic suspension control (ESC) sensor, if equipped. Refer to REAR POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT--ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION--LEFT (15 SERIES) or REAR POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT--ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION--LEFT (25 SERIES) or REAR POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT--ELECTRONIC SUSPENSION--RIGHT in Electronic Suspension Control (ESC).
  3. Remove the upper control arm retaining nut and bolt from the frame bracket.

  4. Remove the upper control arm retaining nut and bolt from the axle bracket.
  5. Remove the upper control arm.
