Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the TXV to the tubes.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Connect the evaporator tube connections from the TXV.

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the tube connections to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

    Important:  Install the clip and the tube in the location and the orientation as noted during the disassembly.

  3. Install the clip in order to retain the capillary tube to the evaporator core.
  4. Pack sealer around the TXV in the manner found during the disassembly.
  5. Install the evaporator core. Refer to EVAPORATOR CORE REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY (TAHOE/YUKON)  or EVAPORATOR CORE REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY (SUBURBAN/YUKON XL)  .
