Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Uncap or unplug the evaporator tube.
  2. Install the new O-ring seal. Refer to O-RING REPLACEMENT  .
  3. Install the short screen end of the new orifice (1) into the evaporator tube.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Connect the evaporator tube at the fitting.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fitting to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Evacuate and recharge the system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING  .
  6. Leak test the fittings of the repaired component using J 39400-A  .
