Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the quarter panel trim to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the quarter panel trim screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT  or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR  .
  4. Install the trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN)  or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT)  .
  5. Install the garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER  .
  6. Install the rear seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 2 or SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 2 - 50-50 in SEAT SYSTEM .
