Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 2 or SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 2 - 50-50 in SEAT SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the Third-Pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN)  or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT)  .
  3. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER 
  4. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE  .
  5. Remove the quarter panel trim screws.
  6. Remove the quarter panel trim from the vehicle.
