Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (EXCEPT AVALANCHE) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (CADILLAC) or HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY OR HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT (HID) in Lighting Systems.

  2. Remove the park/turn signal lamps. Refer to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (EXCEPT AVALANCHE) or PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) in LIGHTING SYSTEMS
  3. Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CADILLAC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) in EXTERIOR TRIM
  4. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (AVALANCHE) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (Z-71) in BUMPER SYSTEM .
  5. Remove the retaining bolts (3) from the grille reinforcement.
  6. Remove the retaining screws (2) from the grille reinforcement.
  7. Remove the reinforcement from the vehicle.
