Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower support bracket (4) to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the lower support bracket retainers (3).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the retainer to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the air cleaner mounting bracket (2) to the vehicle.
  4. Install the air cleaner mounting bracket retainers (1).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the retainers to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls-4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L.
  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls-4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L.
  7. Close the hood.
