Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the daytime running and fog lamps. Refer to DAYTIME RUNNING AND FOG LAMP ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) in Lighting Systems.
  2. Align the front fascia clips (1) to the front fender outer panel clip retainers.

  4. Push the fascia firmly in order to secure the fascia to the radiator grille support and front fender outer panel.
  5. Install the retainers (2) to the fascia (1).
    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the retainers to 1.6 N.m (14.0 lb in)

  7. Install the bolt to the front fascia brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER (AVALANCHE)  .
