Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT (CADILLAC) or GRILLE REPLACEMENT (AVALANCHE) in Exterior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamps, if equipped.
  3. Remove the retaining bolts (1, 2) from the front bumper.

  5. Remove the brace bolt (3) from the front bumper.
  6. Remove the front bumper assembly from the vehicle.

  8. Remove the air deflector from the bumper if necessary. Refer to AIR DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER FASCIA  .
  9. Remove the fog lamps, if equipped. Refer to FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT - FRONT (EXCEPT Z71) or FOG LAMP REPLACEMENT - FRONT (Z-71) in Lighting Systems.
