Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the water pump inlet to the water pump.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the water pump inlet bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (4.8L, 5.3L, AND 6.0L ENGINES)  or RADIATOR HOSE REPLACEMENT - OUTLET (8.1L ENGINE)  .
