Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Do not clear DTCs unless directed by a diagnostic procedure. Clearing DTCs will also clear valuable Freeze Frame and Failure Records data.

An intermittent may be caused by any of the following conditions:

Thoroughly inspect any circuitry that is suspected of causing the intermittent complaint. Refer to TESTING WIRING SYSTEMS FOR INTERMITTENT & POOR CONNECTIONS in Wiring Systems.

If a repair is necessary, Refer to WIRING REPAIRS or CONNECTOR REPAIRS in Wiring Systems.
