Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the I/P carrier. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CARRIER REPLACEMENT  .
  2. Remove the driver's side hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR in INTERIOR TRIM .
  3. Remove the driver's side seat, if equipped with power. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET .
  4. Disconnect the electrical harness from the underhood electrical center. Refer to UNDERHOOD ELECTRICAL CENTER OR JUNCTION BLOCK REPLACEMENT .
  5. Disconnect the wire harness from the hood, if equipped with underhood camp.
  6. Remove the harness grommet from the cowl.
  7. Remove the I/P harness from the vehicle.
