Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the storage bin. Refer to CONSOLE STORAGE BIN REPLACEMENT (EXPECT PRO)  .
  2. Remove the rear cupholder from the end panel. Refer to CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT (NON-LUXURY)  or CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT (LUXURY)  or CUPHOLDER REPLACEMENT (REAR)  .
  3. Remove the 2 retaining screws.

  4. Remove the top 2 retaining screws.
  5. Move the end panel rearwards to gain access to the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the end panel from the console.
  7. Remove the rear seat heater switch, if equipped.
  8. Remove the rear seat audio controls, if equipped.
  9. Remove the power outlets from the end panel, if equipped. Refer to ACCESSORY POWER RECEPTACLE REPLACEMENT - 12 VOLT  .
