Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer.
  3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector (1).

  5. Support the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe with adjustable jackstands.
  6. Remove the right exhaust manifold pipe nuts.

  8. Remove the left exhaust manifold pipe nuts.

  10. Remove the exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts.
  11. Lower the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe using the adjustable jackstands.
  12. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe seal(s).
