Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the rotor. Refer to BRAKE ROTOR .
  4. Remove the wheel stud from the axle flange using the J 43631  for the 15 series.
  5. Remove the axle shaft for vehicles with 9.5 in ring gear. Refer to AXLE SHAFT & BEARING .
  6. Remove the rear hub assembly for vehicles with 10.5 in ring gear. Refer to AXLE SHAFT & BEARING .
  7. Remove the wheel stud from the axle flange using the J 43631. 
  8. Remove the wheel stud from the hub flange using the J 43631.
