System Operation Check: Prizm

Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON position. AIR BAG warning light should illuminate steady for 6 seconds, then go off. The following AIR BAG warning light conditions indicate possible SIR system faults.

Light is on with ignition switch in OFF position.
Light remains on after 6 seconds when ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
Light flashes continuously when ignition switch is turned from OFF to ON.
Light displays flash code DTCs.

Diagnose SIR system and repair as necessary.
