B-Pillar Lower Trim Removal/Installation

WARNING:
  • Handling the side air bag sensor improperly can accidentally deploy the side air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS before working around the B-pillar areas. See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
NOTE:
  • The side air bag sensor is located in the B-pillar.
  1. Remove the front scuff plate. (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Remove the rear scuff plate. (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Pull the area marked A, then remove one side of the B-pillar lower trim.
  4. Pull the B-pillar lower trim outward and remove it.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
