Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the torque rods. Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid .
  3. Remove the rear window panel trim. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW SHELF .
  4. Remove the sound insulator to access the hinge bolts.

  5. Remove the rear compartment lid hinge bolts (2) from the hinge.
  6. Remove the rear compartment lid hinge (1) from the vehicle.
