California emission regulation applicable model

  1. Remove the rear wheels and tires.
  2. Disconnect the ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness connector.
  3. Disengage the brake pipe mount from bracket.

  4. Remove the caliper component installation bolts, remove the parking brake cable from the caliper, and then set the caliper out of the way. (See REAR BRAKE ROTOR .)
  5. Remove the rear shock absorber lower bolts. (See REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the rear trailing link installation bolts (4 locations). (See REAR TRAILING LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the rear crossmember component installation bolts (6 locations) and lower the rear crossmember component. (See REAR CROSSMEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Remove the main silencer.
