- Remove the rear wheels and tires.
- Disconnect the ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness connector.
- Disengage the brake pipe mount from bracket.
- Remove the caliper component installation bolts, remove the parking brake cable from the caliper, and then set the caliper out of the way. (See REAR BRAKE ROTOR .)
- Remove the rear shock absorber lower bolts. (See REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear trailing link installation bolts (4 locations). (See REAR TRAILING LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the rear crossmember component installation bolts (6 locations) and lower the rear crossmember component. (See REAR CROSSMEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the main silencer.
