Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Sierra and 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Coat a NEW O-ring seal with a thin film of Synchro-mesh transmission fluid GM P/N 12345349 or equivalent.
  2. Install the VSS and O-ring seal. Tighten the VSS to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
  3. Connect the VSS electrical connector (1).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
