Hood Adjustment

- Open the hood.
- Loosen the bolts for the hood latch.
- Adjust the front hood bumpers (4) on the radiator support until the hood aligns with the front of the fenders.
- Measure the difference between the hood and the rear of the fender.
- Obtain a shim that is the same thickness as the difference between the hood and the rear of the fender.
- Loosen the hood hinge to hood bolts.
- Install the shim between the hood hinge (1) and the hood.
- Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts until snug.
- Position the hood latch upward.
- Tighten the hood latch bolts until they are snug.
- Carefully close the hood in order to engage the hood latch.
- Adjust the clearance between the hood and fender.
- Carefully open the hood.CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Tighten the hood latch bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the hood latch bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb in).
- Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts to 25 N.m (21 lb ft).
- Close the hood.
