Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Lower  .
  2. Remove the rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement  .

    Important:  Keep the valve lifters in order. You must install the lifters in the original position.

  3. Remove the valve lifter guide bolts.
  4. Remove the valve lifter guide.
  5. Remove the valve lifter.
