Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the lifters into their original positions. Coat the valve lifter with GM P/N 1052365 or the equivalent.
  2. Install the valve lifter guide.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the valve lifter guide bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the valve lifter guide bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the rocker arms and pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement  .
  5. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement - Lower  .
