Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the hazard warning switch.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the IP dimmer switch.
  3. Align the cluster trim plate tabs to the retainers.
  4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate to the IP carrier.

    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install the screws to the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the upper steering column trim cover to the steering column.
  7. Install the screws to the lower steering column trim cover.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 2.3 N.m (18 lb in).

  8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM .
