Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the negative battery terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary negative cable from the battery terminal.
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary battery positive cable from the battery terminal.

  5. Remove the battery hold down retaining bolt.
  6. Remove the battery from the tray.
