Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear door.

  2. Remove the rear door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  3. Remove the center pillar molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - CENTER PILLAR .
  4. Remove the third pillar trim panel. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN) or TRIM REPLACEMENT - THIRD PILLAR (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT) .
  5. Remove the weatherstrip (1) from the door opening flange.
