Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR UPPER (TAHOE/YUKON/ESCALADE/SUBURBAN) or GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - REAR UPPER (AVALANCHE/ESCALADE EXT) .
  2. Fig 1: D-Pillar Molding

  3. Remove the D-Pillar molding.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  6. Push on the tab (2) in order to remove the switch from the D-Pillar molding.
  7. Insert a small screwdriver between the tab (1) in order to pry out the switch from the case.
