Test Description
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 2: The window lockout switch is found on vehicles equipped with 4 power windows. This switch completes or interrupts the ground circuit to all the passengers power window switches. Therefore it is imperative that the switch be placed in the OFF position before continuing with the diagnostic table.
- 9: The master switch has one common ground circuit for the left front power window and the passenger door power window switches. If the left front window operates, it can be presumed that the master switch ground circuit is good.
