Intake Manifold Assemble (C/K/C3500HD/Medium Duty)

Apply a very light film of clean engine oil to the purge solenoid seal.
Install the purge solenoid.
Apply thread adhesive GM P/N United States 12345493, GM P/N Canada 10953488, or equivalent to the threads of the purge solenoid bolt.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the purge solenoid bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the purge solenoid bolt to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

Install the purge solenoid vacuum hose.

Install the EGR adapter gasket.
Install the EGR adapter.
Install the EGR adapter nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the EGR adapter nuts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

Install the EGR valve gasket.
Install the EGR valve.
Install the EGR valve nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the EGR valve nuts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

Important: Lubricate the port of the MAP sensor with clean engine oil. Avoid dipping the sensor port directly into the lubricant or using a solid type of lubricant, as they may block the vacuum port signal.
Install the MAP sensor.
Install the MAP sensor bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the MAP sensor bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Install the throttle body gasket.
Install the throttle body.
Install the throttle body nut.
Tighten

Tighten the throttle body nuts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).
